Right When I get Excited You are Dead...

You have to go and move yourself...
and you stink, and make Wyatt's room smell like a fishing boat.
But since you have already hung around for 2 plus months we might as well see how long you will last.

This is how our Morning Phone Conversation goes.
Casey: Hey Good Morning,How are you and the kids this morning.
Me: Good, typical morning, so good.
Casey: Did the Hermit crab move?
Me: i dont know let me check.......walk into Wyatt's room.... Uh yeh
Casey: oh
Me: I know.

Alive?

Why yes I am, its been a crazy past couple weeks, with Wy's birthday and birthday party, finishing the Babylegs commercial photo sessions, plus 2 other photo sessions and planning, organizing, the RS birthday party, I feel like thats pretty much my 2 weeks in a Nut Shell..
But Yes, i am alive, and I am planning on posting photos of my events soon, I know you all want to see photos of a birthday party at the Local Chuck-E-Cheese's, where the line was out the door of people waiting to be seated (seriously) insane. We did decide that Chuck-E-Cheese is a ONE party in a life time place, and if you do have a party there, make sure it is on a Wednesday early afternoon, not a snowy Saturday afternoon, when the only thing to do is take the fam out for Chuck-E entertainment. That brings me to another point to make, having kids with birthdays during the brisk months, presents a problem for hosting birthday parties of large groups... Anyways.. I will have a post dedicated to the Chuck-E experience.
But a couple things to share, last night was our RS birthday party(which was fantastic) we had 50 sisters in attendance, had a wonderful dinner, and a musical program that was put on by this group http://simplegracemusic.com, if you are looking for a group to perform for a Young Women's, or RS group, I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend these young ladies, they were fabulous.

Happy Birthday Wyatt-

Wyatt, (since I am going to print this entry for your scrapbook, I thought I would address it to you)
Last night I read the journal entry that I wrote 5 years ago. 5 years ago last night I was scared to death, I needed to be at the hospital at 5:00 am to get started, my blood pressure was going crazy, I was swollen like a HUGE balloon, not a shoe would fit on my feet but a flip flop, and my body was not wanting to be pregnant any longer, but you were perfectly content to stay put. That night your dad and I both couldn't sleep I remember laying in bed wide awake talking about what the morning would bring. I remember the car ride up to the hospital, I don't think we talked the entire way up there, it was pretty early, and we were pretty nervous. After getting checked in and settled in our room, (which was right above the life flight pad), they started the pictocin, and after 12 hours of being on pictocin, and maxing out my epidural drip, you were ready to come on out, BUT NOT WITHOUT A FIGHT! , the doctor finally pulled you out with the foreceps or as we call them the giant salad tongs, man did you look pretty scary , sorry but you looked like you were put in a barrel and rolled down the stairs, you had forecep bruises, one on each side of your eyes, and you looked like a cone head. But we still loved you and thought you were the cutest little baby ever! Now 5 years later, as I sit here and listen to you play and run with your little sister, I realize what a true blessing you are to our family. I have learned so many things from you buddy, and the biggest thing I have learned is patience and how sometimes, somethings just aren't worth a fight ;) (snowboots in 100 degree weather or a sucker before breakfast). I have also realized what a sacred blessing it is to be a mother, even though most times I feel like I can be a better mother, I wouldn't trade it for the world. You are special Wyatt, and I love you.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NEWT!

Strep Throat, Tetnus Shot, and a 5 year old

Ok you are probably wondering where I have been for 2 weeks, well maybe you dont care, but man this past couple weeks started off with a trip on a monday night to instacare, Wyatt had strep... YUCK.... and then Tuesday night I felt like i had a little lump in my throat, and by Wednesday morning I felt like I had a ENTIRE COOL RANCH DORRITO lodged in my throat, so I took myself to instacare and sure enough, I had strep throat!
Ok I have never had strep before, nor do I want it again, it seriously was extremly painful, and i dont like the idea of not being able to swallow, therefore drooling all over myself. NOT FUN.. But after 48 hours of antibiotics I was feeling good again. THANK GOODNESS...
Then the following week was enrichment/craft night, and I was the designated driller, meaning I was the one to drill the screws(aka. seeds) into the watermelon peices, (SOOO CUTE).. Well as I was drilling I drilled a screw right through the fat of my thumb.. yeh...ouch.. and blood.. ouch.. so after pulling the screw out and getting blood to stop, I handed the duties of screw driver over to JEN..
Well the next morning I woke up and my finger was swollen and stiff, so I called up to Instacare and asked them when my last TETNUS shot was... 15 years ago! Soo I paid the clinic yet another visit (I cant wait to get my last weeks bills between Wyatt and I) BUT.. the shot hurt worse then then drilling a screw into my finger with an electric SCREW DRIVER!!
SOOO I dont want to have anyone tell me I dont take my church calling seriously, cause man I am willing to GIVE BLOOD.
But on a fun note.. my little guy is going to be 5 this week.. I cant believe it... 5 WHOLE YEARS OLD.. can you believe he has been on the EARTH 5 years.. and I have been a momma for 5 years (can you tell I am having a hard time accepting this)
Love this little dude!

My Momma's Hotter Than Your Momma....

So today ended up being a good day after all, Thanks to the men at the local

You may be wondering to yourself, how could getting your oil changed really affect your day, and let me tell you why..
Ok first of all it was a typical monday, hence I was wearing typical Monday attire, you know what I am talking about, the sweats, the hair not freshly washed, and pinned back with bobby pins just to keep it from falling in the eyes.
I was over my milagage(just a little honey) for getting my oil changed, not by far, but I knew that I had a coupon for Jiffy Lube, so I thought Ok I will swing by and get the oil changed.
The kids are in their seats watching a movie, and little Hads is just about asleep, so we decide to stay in the car while the process of changing the oil, and all that business takes place.
Ok SOME of the fella's that change the oil have a certain type of look, dont get me wrong I am sure they are WONDERFUL citizens, fathers, grandfathers, and people in general, but SOMETIMES the outward apperance most often is a little on the harsh side, such as the man with the missing tooth and the tattoo of skulls crawling up a thorn bush, going up his neck and pretty much covering his bald head.
So it comes time to pay, and this particular sir (see above discription)is assisting me, I hand him my coupon, and as I do, I look down and the thing expired on the 31st!! I ask him if he would honor it, and he said,"hey I have a better deal for you, since it is JL's anniversary, we are doing oil changes for 19.99 today" Ok great I said, sounds good. So as I am pulling out, I call a friend and tell her about this good deal on oil changes, and she then tells me "oh the oil guy was TOTALLY HITTING ON YOU" He must have thought you were HOT and gave you a good deal".
Ok so as I drove home, I couldnt help but think, maybe I still got it goin on, Maybe I am A HOT MOMMA.. hahaha, dirty hair, sweats and all.
So I sit down and read the news paper and come across this

Walking With Dinosaurs..Mental Melt Down.. (long post)

A couple months ago when I saw the commercial for WALKING WITH DINOSAURS, I thought hey Wyatt (since he wants to be a dinosaur see previous post) would love it. SO we bought tickets, and thought we would surprise the little guy and take him. And plus if we tell Wy about events that are of this magnitude, he tends to nag me to no end, How much longer.. Is it today... when we going.. (you get the picture). A few days before the show, I caught various news clips on the WALKING WITH DINOSAURS, and one of the morning news people, mentioned, "Talking to young children before hand, letting them know that these dinosaurs are just puppets, so your children will know what to expect".
Ah my kid is tough I thought, my kid LOVES dinosaurs, and LOVES acting like a dinosaur, so we will continue to keep it a surprise.
So we hop on the front runner and head to "the Big City" (as wyatt calls it) when tracks pulled up to the Energy Solutions arena, wyatt noticed the big Walking with Dinosaurs semi trailers, and the first thing he said to me was... I am too young to go to the Walking with Dinosaurs, right mom and dad... Uh well Wyatt, That is where we are going... are you excited???
UH NO... I am too young to go, I don't want to go.
I was for SURE NOT going to go home, plus I already paid a butt load for a train ticket.
So.. we go in get seated, get popcorn, T-rex's, drinks and all that stuff that ya have to get.. and then then lights shut off, and the ground started to rumble... oh boy... my dinosaur of a boy, had a melt down. So Casey takes him out, and I thought I better go as back up, to help coax the scared little fella back to his seat. While we are up in the tunnel thing, trying to convince Wy that it is ok, and they are puppets (yeh all the stuff KUTV morning guy told me I should tell my kid before hand), the usher proceeds to tell me, Miss you can't stand here, you either have to take your seat and leave. Uh SIR.. we will take our seat when WE ARE READY, this usher SIR goes on to tell me, that you can get a refund if its within the first 15 minutes, but we needed to take our seats or LEAVE... By this time I am sweating buckets (I still had on my winter coat, and scarf), so we took baby steps, we would go peek on to the arena, then back up a little, all the while Wyatt is clinging to me like a baby chimpanzee to his mother, SOOOOOOOOOOO after 20 minutes of going back and forth, and having the usher repeat his dear self a dozen times, we made it to our seats!!
I am happy to say that after this MENTAL MELT DOWN.. he was glued to the action the rest of the time, and LOVED IT.
But I other the other hand wasn't that impressed, in fact I was kind of bummed. dont get me wrong, they were really realistic looking, and the special effects that are put into each dinosaur are amazing, but the show in its entirety (not including the 25 intermission) lasted MAYBE an hour.. and paying more per ticket then I have for any concert ticket, I at least thought there would be a little more too it... So live and learn right??? RIGHT?? Next time crazy morning guy is telling me parenting skills I had better listen up!
