Wacky Hair Day

So Last week was "wacky hair" day at preschool. Wyatt and I had discussed a few times different options for creating a wacky hair style, he really really wanted his hair in a "peacock" (mohawk) but his hair really isnt long enough to put in a very good mohawk. So the morning of, I had pretty much spaced off the wacky of hair day, and as I was brushing my teeth, wyatt came in with a picture of this

And said, Mom this is what I want my hair to look like for "Wacky Hair Day"... yeh thats right... a triceratops... Fabulous.. ok think fast, I pull out a can of hair spray, the blow dryer and whah Lah... this is what I came up with

When Wyatt looked in the mirror, the first words out of his mouth were... Uh mom... Not really, but I guess it will work..

Ok so maybe I am not the beautician of a Triceratops... oh well.

and yes I did NO color enhancement to his eyes... they are that BLUE...

Christmas 2008-

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER

Christmas was so much fun this year! My kids are Hilarious, As you can see the rifle, and shot gun was not only a hit for Wyatt, but aunt T as well.
And the princess shoes, and cell phone(s) were a hit for Had, (notice how I said PHONES, yeh the 1 year old got 5 different phones! I guess a girl needs one in every color right??

We were able to spend christmas eve with grandpa in the valley, it was nice to to relax, eat, and watch christmas story.
Christmas day was different this year, instead of rushing out the door christmas morning, grandma, grandpa, and aunties came to our house.
Later in the afternoon we went up to North Ogden for more eating, presents, cell phones, and christmas story, we finished the night in south Ogden, where we were able to spend time with cousins, aunts, uncles, and my grandparents. This was also very different. We usually spend this time at my grandma's house, but there has gotten to be so many of us, we decided we needed more room, and honestly this was the first time in my life I have seen my dear grandma actually sit down and eat instead of rushing around making sure others were taken care of..
And after a mean ole game of bingo (the hales fam made out like bandits) we ventured through the horrible storm home.

Our christmas was soo wonderful, it was just magical to see it through my children's eyes.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

I hope everyone is having fun preparing for Christmas,  Its Christmas Eve, yikes!  This past week we visited Christmas Village,(and twice to the dancing houses)  it was a blast.  Wy is really at such a fun age.  Both kids sat on Santa's lap, Wy reminded me a lot of Ralphy on Christmas Story, he was all geared up to tell santa what he wanted, and once he got up there, he just quickly blurted it all out... funny.  Hads on the other hand.... not so much.   I sat her on his lap, and like a bad mom I stepped away, 1. for the fact I didn't want to be in the way of the photograph.(dont feel like photoshopping me out) 2. I wanted to see how she would act if I weren't really in reach (maybe she would warm up a little).  Well she didn't actually cry, but she just stretched her arms out, saying MOMMY, MOMMY, MOMMY, off, off, off, off, DADDY, DADDY, DADDY, MOMMY, MOMMY, (see a pattern here) basically she was like come on mom and dad get me OFF.. anyone... I don't care...   GET ME OFF..
too funny.
I think she liked sitting on the big guy's lap... don't you??

Does Everybody's kids have

A Case of the "Christmas Crazies" ??
Cause at the Hales house it is in FULL SWING!
So to kind of harness that energy we decided that 3 times (or so) a week,
from now until Christmas, we would try to do something "Christmasy"
This past weekend we went and checked out the "singing houses" (as wy calls them) in West Haven..  Ok... this is a must see! I had been hearing about this for a couple years now, but never made it over there (yeh only mile or two), I was EXTREMELY impressed. For those of you that don't know, there are 2 houses (neighbors) who have their houses DECKED out in lights, and have it synchronized  to music, that is tuned in and played on your own car radio...
Anyways...  if you haven't gone... check it out... Koodos to the creators of the "singing houses"
Oh and we also watched this..

maybe we watched it a couple times.
